About

A Home for Council 500 — 1945–1980
Dayton Council 500 purchased the historic Huffman House on Monument Avenue in 1945 and dedicated it as its clubhouse the following year. For approximately 35 years, generations of Knights gathered there for council meetings, fraternity and social events

Serving Dayton Since 1900

For more than 125 years, the Knights of Columbus Dayton Council 500 has served the Catholic Church and the Dayton community through Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. Since 1900, generations of Catholic men have worked together to strengthen their faith, support their families, serve their parishes, and help those in need.


Our Mission

Council 500 exists to help Catholic men grow in their faith while serving Christ through charitable works, parish ministries, and fraternity.

Working together with our priests and parish communities, we strive to:

Who We Serve

Council 500 proudly serves the St. Gaspar Family of Parishes, including:

  • Holy Trinity Church
  • St. Joseph Church
  • Emmanuel Church

We also support Catholic ministries and charitable organizations throughout the Dayton area.


What We Do

Our members participate in a wide variety of activities throughout the year, including:

  • Faith formation and COR
  • Rosary and Holy Hours
  • OCIA support
  • Soccer Challenge
  • Family and parish events
  • Food collections and charitable outreach
  • Support for seminarians
  • Community service projects
