Cor

Cor is the Knights of Columbus’s spiritual formation and faith initiative for Catholic men. Derived from the Latin word for “heart”, it builds Christ-centered brotherhood through a simple, flexible framework of prayer, formation, and fraternity.

The program aims to refocus men on Jesus Christ, sharpening them in faith and virtue to become better husbands, fathers, and missionary disciples. [1, 2]

Cor gatherings typically last 60 to 90 minutes and are structured so that local councils and parishes can adapt the content to best fit their community. The three main pillars of every meeting include: [1]

  • Prayer: Deepening the men’s relationship with God through communal prayer and the sacraments.
  • Formation: Proactively learning and discussing the Catholic faith, Scripture, and relevant topics.
  • Fraternity: Cultivating authentic friendships and support systems among the men.

The initiative is open to all men who wish to unite their hearts with Christ and support one another in the faith. To explore official resources, find materials, or locate a gathering near you, visit the
